Why I reached for a tubular LED

What could be better

• “60W equivalent” feels optimistic. In practical terms, think strong 40W or mid-50W replacement. If you truly need 800-lumen output, these won’t get you there.
• No published CRI. I liked the look of the light, but spec-minded buyers might need that number for art or retail use.
• Clear-glass glare can be an issue in exposed sockets. A shade or dimming solves it, but a frosted variant would broaden the use cases.
• Dimming on very old switches may need a trim tweak to prevent shimmer at the absolute bottom.

Value

You get two bulbs in the box, which makes sense for paired fixtures or symmetrical cabinets.
