These clear-glass T10 tubular Edison-style LED bulbs have an E26 base, produce 4000K daylight-white light, and use 4W of power (roughly equivalent to a 40W incandescent). They are dimmable with compatible LED dimmers, have a rated life of about 15,000 hours, are intended for indoor fixtures such as sconces, pendants and desk lamps, and are not recommended for bathroom use.
ASOKO Edison Bulb, T10 Daylight 4000K LED Tubular 4W Dimmable Tube Vintage Bulbs 40 Watt Equivalent,E26 Base Review
Why this T10 made sense in my fixtures
I reach for tubular bulbs when I need a small, clean look that doesn’t fight the fixture. The ASOKO T10 bulb fits that brief: a slim, clear-glass tube with exposed LED filaments, E26 base, and a claimed 40W incandescent equivalent while sipping just 4W. I tested a three-pack in a banker’s lamp, a glass-wall sconce, and a pendant over a desk. Across all three, it delivered neutral daylight-white light without the amber tint you get from many “vintage” lamps, and it did it with very little heat.
Design and build
Physically, the bulb is compact for a tubular form factor. It’s a T10 profile (about 1.25 inches in diameter) and roughly 4.9 inches long, which makes it easy to tuck into narrow shades, picture lights, and slim sconces where a standard A19 won’t fit. The clear glass looks tidy, and the LED filaments are evenly spaced so the bulb reads “vintage” only up close; in most fixtures it just disappears, which I appreciate.
The E26 base threaded smoothly in every socket I tried and seated firmly. Packaging was better than I expected at this price—each bulb was individually cradled and arrived without scuffs or loose bases.
Light quality
Color temperature lands right in the neutral “daylight” band. ASOKO rates it at 4000K, and subjectively it looks like a clean white—cooler than warm 2700K living-room light but not the blue-leaning 5000–6500K you see in shop lighting. That neutrality is the point here: it preserves the color of wood, art, and textiles without pushing them yellow or blue. On my walnut desk and in a glass sconce against a painted wall, colors stayed true.
The bulb is clear and the filaments are visible, so you get an even, 360-degree spread rather than a forward-throw beam. That’s ideal for open fixtures and shades that rely on omnidirectional light. In the banker’s lamp, it filled the shade uniformly with no striping or hot spots.
If you like an amber “Edison” vibe, this isn’t that. If you need precise, warm ambiance, go with a 2700–3000K option. If you want a neutral task light that doesn’t skew colors, this is in the pocket.
Brightness and use cases
ASOKO positions the T10 as a 40W incandescent equivalent. In use, that felt about right in terms of task and accent lighting. It was more than enough for reading at a desk with a shade, bright enough to punch through a glass sconce and light a small hallway, and adequate as a single pendant over a work surface. It won’t flood a large room on its own, and it’s not trying to. I’d consider it a strong task/accent player rather than a primary room light.
One practical note: in bare-bulb fixtures, the clear glass and visible filaments can feel intense when the bulb is in your direct line of sight. In my open pendant, I preferred it dimmed slightly or paired with a diffuser. In shaded or glass-enclosed fixtures, the brightness comes through as intended without glare.
Dimming performance
I tried the bulb on an LED-rated wall dimmer and on a simple on/off desk switch. On the dimmer, the range was smooth from full brightness down to a low nightlight level with no audible buzz and no stepping or shimmer. On/off control showed no flicker or ghosting. As with any LED lamp, compatibility depends on your dimmer; if your dimmer is older or designed for incandescent, upgrading to a modern LED-compatible model is the safest path. But with a recent LED dimmer, this bulb behaved exactly as I’d hope.
Heat, efficiency, and cost to run
Running at 4W, the T10 stays impressively cool. After an hour in an enclosed glass sconce, the glass was warm to the touch but nowhere near the heat of a filament incandescent. That’s good news for delicate shades, display cases, and small fixtures where heat buildup can be an issue.
The energy savings are meaningful. At roughly 3 hours of use per day, you’re looking at about 4.4 kWh per year per bulb—pennies a month to operate. Compared to a 40W incandescent at the same duty cycle, the difference over a year adds up to real dollars, especially if you’re running multiples.
ASOKO lists an average life of about 15,000 hours. That’s not the longest rating in LED land, but it’s reasonable for a decorative filament-style lamp. In my testing, there was no early dimming, color shift, or flicker.
Fit and installation
The T10 shape is useful in places an A19 or G25 won’t go. It slid into my banker’s lamp with room to spare and didn’t protrude from the shade. In a slim sconce with a narrow glass cylinder, the 4.9-inch length was close to the limit—measure your fixture if you’re working with tight clearances.
Because it’s clear-glass and omnidirectional, it pairs well with:
- Banker’s lamps and piano lamps where even spread matters
- Wall sconces and picture lights that benefit from uniform 360-degree output
- Pendants with shades or diffusers
- Display cabinets or curio cases where heat is a concern
It’s not damp-rated, and ASOKO specifically calls out that it isn’t suitable for bathrooms. Keep it to dry indoor locations.
What I liked
- Neutral daylight color that keeps objects looking natural
- Clean, compact tubular profile that disappears in slim fixtures
- Smooth dimming on an LED-rated dimmer with no buzz
- Very low heat output—great for enclosed or delicate fixtures
- Consistent 360-degree light with no hot spots
- Standard E26 base and easy installation
- Three-pack format makes it simple to outfit a set of fixtures
What could be better
- If you’re expecting a warm, amber “vintage” glow, you won’t find it here; this is neutral-white by design
- The 40W-equivalent output is ideal for task and accent use, but it won’t replace a primary room light on its own
- The clear glass can feel harsh in bare-bulb fixtures; a shade or dimmer is recommended
- Rated life is solid but not class-leading if you’re chasing maximum longevity
Who it’s for
This bulb makes the most sense if you:
- Want a clean, neutral 4000K daylight for tasks or displays
- Need a slim bulb to fit tight fixtures (banker’s lamps, picture lights, glass-cylinder sconces)
- Care about low heat and energy savings
- Plan to use an LED-compatible dimmer for nuanced control
- Prefer a minimalist look rather than a decorative amber filament aesthetic
If your space leans toward warm, cozy lighting, choose a 2700–3000K version instead. And if you need whole-room illumination, step up to higher-output bulbs or plan on multiple fixtures.
Recommendation
I recommend the ASOKO T10 bulb for anyone looking to modernize a slim fixture with neutral, accurate light and minimal heat. It’s a straightforward, reliable 4W lamp that behaves well on dimmers, preserves true colors, and fits where standard bulbs can’t. Keep it out of damp locations, pair it with a shade or dimmer if glare is a concern, and treat it as a task/accent light rather than a room-filling beacon. Used that way, it’s an easy upgrade that looks good, sips power, and gets out of the way.
