bluemorpho Pack 10 Vacuum Bags For DEWALT 6 to 10 Gallon Shop Vac DXVA19-4101, Dust Collection Bag with Filter For Vacmaster VHBM, Replacement Parts BM08 Accessories Kit Review
Why I tried these bags
A cleaner shop vac makes for a better workday. After too many post-job cleanups scraping caked dust out of a tank and hand-washing a pleated filter, I started using disposable collection bags as my default. Recently I ran a 10-pack of bluemorpho BM08-110 bags through several weeks of mixed tasks—drywall sanding cleanup, general carpentry debris, and garage dust—mainly on a DEWALT DXV10P (10-gallon) and briefly on a Vacmaster VK811PH. My goal was simple: find a cost-effective bag that fits reliably, holds a lot, and keeps fine dust out of the filter.
Compatibility and fit
These are sized for 6–10 gallon wet/dry vacuums with a 2.5-inch inlet and the DXVA19-4101-style collar. On my DXV10P, the collar slid onto the inlet snugly, with no wrinkling around the gasket and no tendency to back off when the vac pressurized. The bag’s flat dimensions are roughly 31.5 by 15.75 inches, which leaves enough slack for the bag to expand without pressing hard against the tank walls.
I also tried a quick fit check on a colleague’s Vacmaster VK811PH. The collar engaged cleanly there as well. If your vacuum is in the DEWALT 6–10 gallon family—DXV06P, DXV09P, DXV10P/DXV10S, etc.—or the Vacmaster VK811PH, you should be covered. That said, always confirm the inlet size and orientation; a 2.5-inch inlet with an internal bracket is what these are designed around.
Installation and user experience
Installation is straightforward:
- Open the tank, slide the collar onto the inlet until fully seated, and make sure the bag is spread with some slack.
- Replace the head, then collapse the bag gently around the interior so it doesn’t bunch.
The cardboard collar is sturdy and the gasket feels secure, which reduces the chance of bypass. The bag material is a two-ply, heavier-than-typical paper/fiber that doesn’t feel flimsy. After filling several bags near capacity, I didn’t encounter seam splitting or collar loosening.
Disposal is a highlight. Close the bag opening (I pinch and tape the collar slit for transport), lift it out, and drop it into a contractor bag. The tank stays clean enough that I rarely need to wipe it down, and my pleated filter stays visibly cleaner, which helps maintain suction across jobs.
Filtration and performance
These are not HEPA bags, but for typical shop debris they behaved like a high-efficiency capture layer. Fine dust from drywall and light sanding is where disposable bags earn their keep. With the bluemorpho BM08-110 bags in place, my vac’s exhaust remained clear during drywall cleanup, and the main pleated filter showed only a light coating after several sessions. If you’re working under OSHA silica requirements, you still need a compliant HEPA setup, but for general remodeling dust, these bags provide a meaningful reduction in airborne powder and filter clogging.
Suction stayed consistent until the bag was very full. The two-ply material allows air to move without feeling restrictive. I deliberately filled one bag heavy with drywall dust to gauge performance; the vac didn’t bog down early, and emptying was tidy—no plumes when I removed the head, which is a common frustration with unbagged tanks.
Capacity and durability
Capacity is generous for a 6–10 gallon class bag. Fine dust packs densely, and these held more than I expected before airflow started to taper. With mixed debris—sawdust, chips, and some short offcuts—expansion remained even without stretching the seams.
Durability was solid. The material resisted punctures from common shop bits like screws and staples, though I try to avoid vacuuming long, sharp fasteners for any bag. If you’re vacuuming heavier chunks (stone chips, larger splinters), you’ll want to be a little mindful, but for everyday use these feel robust.
As for the collar, I didn’t have issues with wet gasket failure or peeling glue. Still, these are dry-pickup bags. Even though they’re made for wet/dry vacs, don’t use them for liquids, and avoid hot debris or fine ash from stoves—no paper-based bag handles heat or embers well.
What I liked
- Reliable fit: The 2.5-inch collar seats securely on both the DEWALT and Vacmaster models I tried.
- Cleaner workflow: Tanks and pleated filters stay dramatically cleaner, which saves real time between tasks.
- Fine dust capture: Two-ply construction strikes a good balance between airflow and filtration for jobsite dust.
- High value in a 10-pack: Having a stack of bags on hand means I swap as soon as suction starts to fall, instead of pushing a messy cleanup.
- Easy disposal: Minimal mess getting a full bag out of the tank and into the trash.
What could be better
- No HEPA rating: That’s common in this category, but if you need certified HEPA capture, you’ll need a different system or a HEPA filter plus compatible HEPA-rated bags for your vacuum.
- Dry use only: Again, standard for paper/fiber bags, but worth repeating—liquids, damp plaster, and hot ash are off-limits.
- Limited labeling on the bag: A printed fill line or a simple “front” indicator can help newer users avoid bunching around the inlet. It’s easy enough to figure out, but onboarding could be clearer.
Value and alternatives
OEM bags are often pricier. The bluemorpho BM08-110 bags land in the sweet spot for cost-per-bag while providing performance that, in my experience, is indistinguishable from branded equivalents. If you’re already running a filter sock or a cartridge with an aftermarket bag, this combination keeps maintenance intervals long and costs reasonable.
If your work involves heavy silica exposure or very fine MDF dust day in and day out, look at compatible HEPA-rated solutions for your vac, or consider a vac system that supports HEPA bags and filters together. For mixed shop and remodel work where convenience and cleanliness matter, these strike an excellent balance.
Tips for best results
- Leave slack in the bag when you close the tank so the material can expand evenly.
- Swap the bag before it’s overstuffed; suction and filtration fall off fast once the bag is 80–90% full.
- Pair with a clean pleated filter; the bag protects it, but a clogged filter will still choke airflow.
- Avoid long screws and sharp offcuts. If you must vacuum them, pause and check the bag condition afterward.
- Store spare bags flat and dry; moisture weakens paper fibers.
Durability over time
Across multiple weeks and a handful of full-bag cycles, I didn’t see any degradation in seam integrity or collar stiffness. The two-ply material doesn’t fluff or delaminate under normal use, and the gasket stayed compliant. The 90-day warranty provides a bit of reassurance, though I didn’t need to use it.
The bottom line
The bluemorpho BM08-110 bags do exactly what I want a shop vac bag to do: fit securely, capture fine dust effectively, hold a surprising amount of debris, and make disposal painless. They help keep the vac’s internals clean, which preserves suction and reduces filter maintenance. While they’re not a substitute for a true HEPA setup in regulated environments—and they’re strictly for dry pickup—the day-to-day practicality is excellent.
Recommendation: I recommend these bags for anyone using a 6–10 gallon DEWALT or the compatible Vacmaster model who wants a cleaner, less fussy vacuuming routine. They’re durable, easy to install, and cost-effective in a 10-pack. If your work is general remodeling, woodworking, or garage cleanup, you’ll appreciate the performance and the time saved on post-job maintenance.

Creative
Rustic Lampshades / Pendant Diffusers
Use the 2-ply bag material to form simple cylindrical or conical pendant shades. Cut panels from the bag, reinforce edges with thin metal or cardboard rings, glue or stitch seams, and seal with a clear, flame-retardant varnish. The fibrous paper diffuses LED light for a warm, rustic look. (Recommend low-heat LED bulbs and proper heat-safety mounting.)
Biodegradable Seedling Pots
Cut the bags into rectangles and fold/roll them into small biodegradable pots for seed starting. The paper holds moisture but will break down when planted directly into soil, reducing transplant shock. Size them for common trays and label with waterproof ink.
Textured Mixed-Media Panels / Papier-mâché
Tear or layer pieces of the filter material into papier-mâché or mixed-media panels to add subtle texture and fiber detail. The material conforms well to molds and can be painted or stained after drying—great for wall art, reliefs, or sculptural bases.
Disposable Stencils & Protective Drop Sheets
Cut the bags into custom stencils for spray-paint or airbrush projects or use larger pieces as disposable drop sheets and masking layers for messy crafts. Their dust-catching properties make cleanup easy and they can be replaced between projects to avoid cross-contamination.
