What could be better

• Auto-shutoff timing: Five minutes can feel short. I’d like an option to extend or disable it.
• Battery format: 9V is convenient, but pricier than AA/AAA to keep stocked. A rechargeable pack option would be a thoughtful add-on.
• Side magnets or a secondary magnet position: The top magnets are great for overhead and track, but side magnets would add flexibility for vertical steel surfaces.
• Carry protection: A dedicated pouch or sleeve would help keep the screen from scuffing in a tool bag. I ended up wrapping mine in a rag.

None of these are dealbreakers; they’re quality-of-life tweaks that would smooth daily use.

A note on expectations

This is a single-line green laser detector. It’s not intended for rotary lasers, and it won’t work miracles with non-pulsed beams. If you’re pairing it with a laser that doesn’t have receiver mode, your results will be inconsistent. Confirm your laser is green and supports pulse/detector operation, and you’ll get the performance advertised.
