CAMMOO 60" Work Bench Adjustable Height with Storage Shelf, Max Load 2000 LBS Heavy Duty Rubberwood Tabletop with Pegboard, LED Light, Built-in Power Strip for Woodworking Shop, Garage, Home Review
I cleared a wall in my garage, leveled the floor as best I could, and built out the Cammoo 60-inch workbench as a primary station for woodworking and general projects. After several weeks of use—everything from sharpening blades to mounting a small vise and running a benchtop planer—I’ve come away impressed by the combination of rigidity, useful features, and price. It isn’t perfect, but the compromises are sensible and easy to work around.
Build quality and materials
The headline feature is the double-layer rubberwood top and matching lower shelf. Both pieces are heavy and flat, which does a lot of the stability work before you even tighten a bolt. The legs are carbon steel with an H-shaped frame that resists racking. It’s not a joiner’s bench with massive stretchers, but the structure feels legitimately stout for a mixed-use shop.
The top carries a 2,000 lb rating and the shelf 500 lb. I didn’t push it anywhere near the limits, but I did load the surface with a planer, a miter saw, a stack of clamps, and a vise—easily a couple hundred pounds during use—without any noticeable deflection. Rubberwood behaves like many medium-hard hardwoods: it’s dense enough to feel solid but will show dents and scratches. That’s normal for a working surface (and, frankly, preferable to a slippery plastic or thin laminate that can crack). If you care about cosmetics, plan on a sacrificial cutting mat or an oil/wax finish to refresh the surface periodically.
The powder coating on the steel is even and the holes lined up without persuasion. Edges were clean, threads were cut properly, and the fit between wood and steel is tight. Overall, it feels like a bench meant to live in a garage or shop and actually get used.
Assembly and setup
I assembled the bench solo in just over an hour, with a few sanity checks along the way. The process is straightforward: frame first, then shelf, then top, then pegboards and accessories. A second set of hands is helpful when placing the top; it’s heavy and a bit unwieldy. My best tip: leave fasteners finger-tight until the frame is squared and all components are sitting flat, then torque everything in sequence. That prevents twist and ensures the glides sit evenly on the floor.
Speaking of the glides, they’re a sleeper feature. Each foot has about 1.4 inches of adjustability, which makes a big difference on uneven slabs. With the feet dialed in, the bench sits dead stable—no rocking, even during aggressive sanding or hand planing.
Ergonomics and height adjustment
Height adjustability is a standout. With six positions from 28.8 to 39 inches, I could set the bench for seated work, standard standing, or a slightly higher position that’s ideal for detail tasks. Adjustment isn’t “on the fly”—you’ll remove bolts and reposition the legs—so think of it as a semi-permanent setup rather than a quick-change station. Still, being able to dial in a comfortable working height once and leave it there makes a bigger ergonomics difference than you might expect.
The 60 by 22 inch footprint hit a sweet spot in my shop. It’s deep enough to catch long stock at the saw and to clamp assemblies, but not so deep that it dominates floor space. If you have room for two side-by-side, you’ll get a generous run of countertop without a seam in the middle of your primary task area.
Storage and organization
Cammoo includes a three-piece pegboard set: one large panel that can mount to the bench or to a wall, and two side panels integrated into the leg frames. I configured the large panel on the bench for quick access to the tools I reach for constantly—squares, tape measures, an impact driver, and bits. Having the magnetic LED light on the pegboard is handy for snapping the light where you need it.
There is one tradeoff with the top-mounted pegboard: it shifts some weight toward the back. Against a wall, it’s a non-issue; freestanding, you’ll feel that weight bias if you really lean across the front edge. I recommend locating the bench against a wall or anchoring the top panel with a bracket if you plan on heavy forward pressure. The side pegboards are a nice touch for frequently used small tools and consumables (think hex keys, painter’s tape, pencil cups) and keep the surface clear.
The lower shelf is the quiet hero. With 14.6 inches of vertical space, it swallows bulky items—toolboxes, compressors, a dust extractor—while doubling as a structural brace. Storing weight down low further improves stability, and I appreciated being able to keep benchtop tools below and lift them up only when needed.
Power and lighting
The integrated, ETL-certified power strip is exactly what a bench like this should have: four AC outlets and two USB-A ports with a 6.5-foot cord. It’s rated to 1,875 watts (standard for a 15-amp circuit) and handled my vac, sander, and charger without tripping. Placement is convenient, and it saves the small hassle of fishing extension cords across the bench. My only wish is for a USB-C port with higher power delivery; the USB-A ports are fine for small devices but won’t fast-charge modern tools or tablets.
The magnetic LED bar is a good “finder light”—it helps you see into bins and makes the pegboard usable in dim corners. It’s not bright enough to replace a dedicated task light for precision work. I treated it as a supplemental light and added a separate articulating arm lamp for close tasks.
Stability in use
With the feet leveled and some weight on the lower shelf, the bench feels planted. Racking forces from a vise or vigorous hand tool work are transmitted into the H-shaped legs and shelf without shuddering. Running a planer or miter saw on top generated minimal vibration. If you regularly hammer or chop mortises, you’ll still benefit from clamping or screwing the bench to the wall studs, but for most DIY and shop tasks the stability is more than adequate.
Mounting a small vise was straightforward: I pre-drilled and used through-bolts with washers underneath. The top accepted the hardware cleanly and didn’t show any splitting or tear-out.
What I’d change
- The LED light is useful but underpowered for task lighting.
- USB-A charging is dated; a USB-C PD port would modernize the power strip.
- Height changes require tools and time, so consider your preferred height at assembly.
- The top pegboard can make the unit feel a bit back-heavy if freestanding; plan to place it against a wall or anchor it.
Who it’s for
- Garage and home shop users who want a sturdy, mid-size bench with built-in organization and power.
- Woodworkers and DIYers who benefit from adjustable height to match tasks or body mechanics.
- Assembly and shipping stations where the lower shelf and pegboards keep supplies within reach.
If you’re outfitting a precision hand-tool bench or need quick-adjust height on a daily basis, you’ll want something more specialized. For the broad range of shop tasks—cutting, sanding, assembly, sharpening, light metalwork—this bench hits the mark.
Value
Factoring in the heavy wood surfaces, steel frame, pegboards, LED, and a safe, integrated power strip, the value proposition is strong. You’ll spend more to piece these features together separately, and you’ll rarely get them in a package this cohesive at this size.
Recommendation
I recommend the Cammoo 60-inch workbench for anyone building out a versatile, stable station in a garage or home shop. It combines a legitimately solid frame and thick work surface with thoughtful conveniences—leveling feet, integrated power, and pegboard storage—that make day-to-day tasks smoother. Be prepared to supplement the lighting, choose a height and leave it there, and place the unit against a wall if you’re using the top pegboard. With those minor considerations, it’s a dependable, well-designed bench that punches above its price and should serve a wide range of projects for years.
