Why I reached for a thin, shiny roll instead of bulky batts

Installation experience

- In cold climates, watch for window condensation; vent or remove inserts periodically.

Value
At 24 inches by 10 feet per roll, coverage is limited for large projects, but it’s a sweet spot for targeted fixes and prototypes. The convenience factor is high: you can cut a piece in minutes, install it with minimal mess, and actually see a temperature difference the same day. For small spaces and seasonal problems, the cost-to-benefit ratio is excellent. If you’re insulating an entire garage or attic, look for wider, longer rolls or different materials; stitching together lots of 24-inch strips is time-consuming.
