I wanted a single, affordable bundle I could reach for instead of making late-night trips for a single coin cell.
What’s in the box and why it matters
The assortment covers the sizes I run into most: remotes and key fobs (CR2032/CR2025), slim trackers and wearables (CR1632/CR1620), and thicker devices that benefit from more capacity (CR2450). The value here is convenience. If you’ve ever opened a key fob and found a CR1632 when you expected a CR2032, you’ll appreciate having options on hand.

Build and safety notes
Build quality feels consistent across the set. The cells are clean, with clear markings that haven’t flaked under handling. Loopacell touts advanced sealing to reduce leakage, and after several weeks in devices—including a set of LED votives prone to warmth—there’s been no evidence of weeping or corrosion around terminals.
A quick safety reminder: coin cells are a choking and ingestion hazard. Store them out of reach of kids and pets, and recycle them properly. Despite “easy disposal” marketing you sometimes see, I always take spent coin cells to a battery recycling drop-off.
Out-of-the-box voltage and consistency
I spot-check coin cells with a multimeter before installing. Most of the cells I tested read between 3.22V and 3.30V open-circuit, which is normal for fresh lithium manganese dioxide cells. Variance across the set was small, and I didn’t encounter any dead-on-arrival cells.

Real-world performance
Low-drain devices: In wristwatches, a kitchen scale, and a digital caliper, the Loopacell cells behaved as they should—no resets, no drift, and no quirks. These devices sip current and are generally forgiving; the cells worked for months with no early failures so far.
Always-on LEDs and candles: I popped CR2032s and CR2450s into decorative LED votives and puck-style lights. Runtime has been solid—comparable to mainstream brands I’ve used previously. After several evenings of continuous use, brightness taper was gradual, not abrupt.
Remotes and bike computers: TV remotes and a bike computer (CR2032) were unproblematic. Range on the TV remote was normal, and the bike computer reconnected instantly after a battery swap.
Key fobs and pulse-heavy loads: This is where the differences between coin cell brands tend to show. In a Mazda key fob that specifies a CR2025, I saw a “low battery” warning after installing a fresh Loopacell cell. The fob still worked, but the warning persisted. Swapping to a premium-brand CR2025 cleared the warning. Measuring the Loopacell under a brief higher-current pulse showed more voltage sag than the name-brand comparison. In a different key fob that uses a CR2032, however, the Loopacell cell worked fine with no warnings. The takeaway: most devices will be happy; a few finicky, pulse-intensive fobs might prefer a top-tier cell with lower internal resistance.
Sensors and trackers: A tire pressure tool that uses CR1632 powered up immediately and communicated reliably during testing. I didn’t observe dropouts or resets.
Leakage and contact integrity
I intentionally installed a few cells into older remotes with slightly tarnished contacts. After cleaning the contacts with isopropyl alcohol, the Loopacell cells maintained good contact without micro-arcing or blackening at the negative terminal—an occasional issue with poor plating. No leakage was observed across any of the test installations.
Longevity and shelf behavior
I can’t compress multi-year shelf-life testing into a short review, but I did keep several cells sealed at room temperature and re-measured after a couple of months. Voltages remained essentially unchanged. In use, runtime has aligned with expectations for each form factor (e.g., CR2450 outlasting CR2032 in the same LED). If you store the spares in a cool, dry place and keep them in their blisters until needed, they should hold up well.

- Avoid touching both faces of the cell with bare fingers; oils can raise contact resistance.
- If a key fob still shows “low battery” immediately after replacement, try another cell from the pack. If the warning persists, consider a premium-brand substitute for that specific device.
- Store spares in their packaging in a cool, dry place; don’t refrigerate, and keep them away from metal objects that could short them.
Value

The economical pricing does show up at the edges—namely, in high-pulse sensitivity on some CR2025 applications—but for most devices, the performance-to-price ratio is favorable.
What I’d like to see improved

The bottom line
The Loopacell assortment did exactly what I wanted most of the time: it brought a drawerful of small electronics back to life without fuss. Voltage consistency was good, leakage resistance has been a non-issue so far, and low- to moderate-drain devices performed as expected. In a small subset of pulse-heavy applications—particularly one CR2025 key fob—I saw more voltage sag than with a top-tier brand, which is worth noting if your device is sensitive.
Recommendation: I recommend the Loopacell set for general-purpose household use, hobby benches, and anyone who wants an affordable, ready supply of common coin cell sizes. Keep a couple of premium cells in reserve for unusually picky key fobs or high-pulse devices, and this assortment will cover the rest reliably and economically.
